WATER RISK FRAMING

Why Now?

The UK’s water systems are under unprecedented strain. Flood risk is increasing for millions of properties, drought and supply shortfalls are limiting water use, and pollution means no freshwater body meets safety standards. This triple threat underscores the urgent need to rethink resilience in how we manage water.

  • Too much

6.3 million properties are at risk of flooding in the UK, with this set to rise to 8 million by 2050

  • Too Little

More than 1 in 6 people face limits on water use due to national water supply shortfalls

  • Too Dirty

Not a single river, lake, or stream in England is safe from chemical pollution. 0% meet safety standards.

HOW IT WORKS

Nature as an Asset Class

As a specialist investment manager, we are bridging the gap between companies, investors and communities to fund and deploy solutions to some of the most pressing Nature-related challenges our economy faces today.

SCARCITY CASH FLOW UTILITY ASSET VALUE
  • Scarcity

The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries. Where there is scarcity there is value.

  • Utility

Nature delivers essential services: water regulation, flood defense, and carbon storage.

  • Cashflow

The Rebalance Earth model generates long-term, contracted payments from restored nature.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Yorkshire Dale Estate

Restoring approximately 600 hectares on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales, transforming degraded land into a thriving natural ecosystem that generates long-term financial, environmental, and social returns. By restoring natural processes, the estate will produce contracted nature-based revenues, alongside significant ecosystem and community benefits.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Oyster Heaven & Project Luna

This project restores native oyster reefs off the coast of North Norfolk, deploying 4 million oysters to rebuild a self-sustaining marine ecosystem. The restored reef improves water quality, enhances biodiversity, and protects coastlines, while generating long-term, contracted financial returns through nature-based partnerships.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Evenlode Landscape Recovery Project

A 3,500-hectare, catchment-led initiative delivering large-scale river and landscape restoration through nature-based solutions. By reconnecting rivers to floodplains, creating wetlands, improving soil management, and expanding woodland and hedgerows, the project reduces flood risk, enhances water quality, boosts biodiversity, and sequesters carbon. rural communities.
